Dracula, the Devil’s Nosferatu – A new novel by William Gareth Evans

Until the nineteenth century, scant information existed concerning the ethereal species, known as Nosferatu, Vampire or the un-dead. These were the earliest of times in which modern man battled a very ancient enemy. Only distorted mythical accounts survived in East European and Celtic folklore that gave any clue to the existence of humanity’s past battles with the preternatural creatures. Sparse methodology remained of the procedures employed to counter their attacks. This was the age of discovery for those few brave individuals that dared to confront the damned perpetrators of a hellish plague.

‘Dracula, the Devil’s Nosferatu’ will be available within the next three months.

Dracula News: We have completed most of the new music and rewrites for the new version of this musical. The process is ongoing for the complete recording of this work, which we hope to finish by 2012. I will post more news as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the novels written to compliment and help fund the project are, or soon will be, available – “Within the Glass Darkly” (via Amazon / Kindle) and “Dracula – The Devil’s Nosferatu” (available in 2012).

Sang de Vie Productions have co-produced a feature-length horror film, which will be released later in 2011.

Dracula Musical and Sang de Vie News – March / April 2011

As indicated in pervious news, we are currently recording more music for the complete version of our Dracula musical production. This will include eleven new tracks, additional music (recitative), underscored dialogue and a re-orchestration of the entire score. There are twenty-three numbers, excluding reprised songs in the current production. This work will continue throughout 2011. We intend to release the recordings as soon as possible, after the completion of this album.

We have scheduled this new work, as an ‘in-house’ film production, for 2012-2013. An award winning director / screenwriter is currently writing the screenplay.

Theatrical performance rights for the stage version of the Dracula musical, as heard on the complete album, will probably be available after 2012.

Sang de Vie Productions Ltd. has also co-produced a premium feature film. This horror film will premiere later in 2011.

Here are the updates again:

Sang de Vie Productions is currently producing a CD recording of the complete Dracula musical by Evans, Orton and Lynn. This process will continue throughout 2011.

As a matter of course, and as is the case with many of our projects, there is an opportunity to invest in a film version of this outstanding musical production.

However, additional investment remains unessential for the further development of our current productions.

News 2011 – Sang de Vie Productions Ltd. is presently co-producing a premium feature film by an award winning director / screenwriter.

New version of the Dracula Musical by Evans, Orton & Lynn

Most of the numbers have new orchestrations. Earlier posted, low quality, demo tracks from the new recording have already changed. We will not post any other songs until after the release of the new Dracula musical CD later in 2011.

* Other News – The NEW version of the vampire novel, “WITHIN THE GLASS DARKLY“, by William Gareth Evans has been published. The sequel novel, ‘Dracula, The Devil’s Nosferatu’ will be available later in 2011.

* We are continuing to record more music tracks for the album of the complete Dracula musical. The intention is to make the recorded work as complete as possible for the future CD release. This recording will include a number of never before heard songs, and more of the script, from this original musical work. Further news will be posted on its progress before the end of 2010.

* Sang de Vie Productions has co-produced a feature length movie. It is a horror film. More will be revealed about the new professionally directed film during 2010 – This movie is on schedule and will soon be out of post production.

* Following the publication of ‘Within The Glass Darkly’, the second novel of this new Gothic vampire saga will be published in 2011. The sequel incorporates the original plot / subplot upon which the Dracula musical ‘book’ was partially based. Although the second novel continues the plot of the first, it is possible to read the new book as a story in its own right. The new novel reveals more about the characters of Stoker’s classic story, the origins of the Nosferatu and Count Dracula himself, whilst developing the original plot of ‘Within The Glass Darkly’.

This collaborative work accurately represents the dark Victorian world of Stoker’s novel whilst making a direct connection between the fictional vampire and historic figure, Vlad Tepes – Dracula. The libretto has been deliberately written with due consideration to the period and intention of the original 1897 novel.
